Biography:
Sloth, also known as Lotney Fratelli, is a fictional character from the 1985 adventure comedy film, The Goonies. He is portrayed by John Matuszak.
Sloth is a physically deformed and mentally challenged member of the Fratelli crime family. He is often chained and abused by his siblings, primarily Mama Fratelli, Francis, and Jake.
Despite his intimidating appearance and the Fratelli's treatment, Sloth possesses a kind heart and childlike innocence. He develops a close bond with Chunk, one of the Goonies, who treats him with compassion and understanding.
Sloth ultimately defects from his family and helps the Goonies evade the Fratellis and find One-Eyed Willy's treasure. He is a symbol of acceptance, friendship, and the importance of looking beyond appearances.
